Important Community Announcements

  • The HRHA Board of Directors meeting
    • The next Board of Directors meeting will be held on January 19, 2011 at the HRHA office.  A draft agenda will be included in the January Newsletter and the final agenda will be available at the association office and on this web site by 3:00pm, Monday, January 16, 2012.  Click here to view and/or download the most recent agenda.

  • Alert ID Program
    • AlertID is every-day protection for your family and your neighborhood.  AlertID uses the newest online technology to create instant, two-way communications between citizens and federal, state, and local authorities to provide immediate information on crime, terrorism or natural disasters that can threaten the safety of your family and community.   AlertID is a FREE service coordinated in our area by the Washoe County Police Department.  For more information go to the Alert ID home page by clicking here.  To go directly to the sign up page, click here.

  • Parking in cul-de-sacs

    • There has been some confusion regarding parking in cul-de-sacs within Highland Ranch.  The streets within our association fall within the jurisdiction of Washoe County and therefore Washoe County ordinances.  It is a violation to park in any manner, other than parallel, even in cul-de-sacs.
    • WCC 70.400 Angle parking prohibited; penalty
      • It is unlawful to stop, park or leave standing any vehicle, whether attended or unattended, at an angle to the highway when such vehicle extends into the paved or main-traveled part of the highway, unless the area in which such vehicle is stopped, parked or left standing is an area for which a permit has been issued by the sheriff.  (A citation may be issued.)

  • HELP STOP GRAFFITI !!
    • Security guards and police are not the answer.  Only a united, concerned community can stop the graffiti we have experienced.  The homeowners' association is offering a $500.00 REWARD for information leading to the arrest and conviction of person(s) applying graffiti to homeowner and/or association property.  To report tagging call 785-4629.  Call the association office for details regarding the reward.
